Cy has served in the United States Army for thirteen years as an Armored Crewman, an Instructor, and a Tank Commander. He has been deployed five times to places such as Bosnia, Kuwait, and three combat tours to Iraq. For the majority of his life he has struggled with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. Looking back he is aware that he showed prominent symptoms of PTSD as a child following his brother'...s suicide. Cy's PTSD symptoms were only amplified by traumatic events experienced in Operation Iraqi Freedom. For years he never sought treatment for his issues due to a lack of awareness of what was going within him. Through various forms of treatment and self-educating and most of all a spiritual reconnection with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ he has discovered how to properly recover from the war within. The difference in him now from who he was in the not so distant past is like night and day and it is his mission to reach out and help others by showing those who are still suffering what has helped him achieve and maintain successful recovery with PTSD. Cy currently lives on Fort Knox, Kentucky where he is being medically separated from the Army because of his past struggles with this disorder and it is his goal to help as many soldiers as he can discover the source of ultimate healing, Jesus Christ
